Their Own
We're blown away by this band. Michelle Johnson has a set of pipes reminiscent
of Janis Joplin and Grace Slick, yet she doesn't sound like either one of them.
Mostly original tunes (with a few covers thrown in just to show you that they
CAN). Why this band isn't signed is a mystery to us. Energy? OMG... when S.M.U.T.
takes the stage, nothing else matters. S.M.U.T. transports you on a wave of Rock
magic.
Zach Johnson plays bass from his soul. He 'toys' with an acoustic bass set on
a stand. Just a little diversion for his own enjoyment, but it ends up being
ours.
Rob Crawford on drums. Pounding, DRIVING rhythm that accents really WEIRD chord
progressions from Zach's bass. (Uh, Rob... you might want to stick with this
group).
Lead guitar? On "The Penis Haircut Barber Pole Man" CD it's Jason Wright,
but trust us, lead guitar is NOT what this band is about. In fact, any guitarist
worth the price of a vintage Strat would be scared to death to fall in here.

"S.M.U.T.
is a hard rockin', neighbor annoyin' garage band making it big. Winning Battle
of the bands and playing to packed venue's, S.M.U.T. will pack in the women and
that will in turn pack in the guys getting drunk and trying to outspend each
other to get the girls."
